Ministry Assignments for the 2005-2007 Blueprint for Hager Park

 

Consistory:

  • Develop a plan to better coordinate events across all ministries.
  • Clarify procedures for administrative and pastoral care to better serve the congregation.

 

Elders: 

  • Develop a formalized mentor transition plan for Care Group Elders and church officers.
  • Develop clear expectations for the congregation and perspective new members.
  • Develop new congregational care process.

 

Deacons:

  • Develop a long term capital expenditure plan.
  • Continue to evaluate the current budgeting process for Consecration Sunday.
  • Develop plan to better meet diaconal needs within the congregation.

 

Outreach:

  • Begin a prayer ministry for Outreach.
  • Develop accountability for service evangelism to consistory.
  • Continue building a team-oriented evangelism ministry
  • Expand current visitor follow-up and greeter ministry.
  • Restructure the greeter ministry and provide training.
  • Expand the “Becoming a Contagious Christian” training.
  • Continue to develop the service ministry team and its ministry.
  • Continue to develop the intellectual/seeker team and expand its ministry.
  • Interpersonal/event planning team to innovate two events each year.
  • Begin to develop the new works/multiplication team.

 

Missions:

  • Further development of communication between HPC members and missionaries we support.
  • Continue to plan and execute mission trips and local mission opportunities.

 

Worship:

  • Create a long term worship planning team which will provide for worship feedback, enhance and

                        develop the worship planning process, and develop a testimonial team

  • Review projection ministry for improvement and growth.
  • Continue to grow the number of opportunities for people to get involved in worship/prayer ministry.
  • Continue to develop worship decorating team.

 

Nurture – Adult Ministry:

  • Develop staff and lay leadership training.
  • Create a comprehensive gift based database.
  • Expand current adult educational system.
  • Continue to grow and expand the “Making SPACE” (Small Group) Ministry.
  • Redevelop the spiritual growth ministry through triads and small group mentoring.
  • Review of the Wednesday night programming.
  • Develop the hospitality ministry.

 

Nurture – Youth Ministry:

  • Continue to recruit, train, and equip new leaders.
  • Continue to develop opportunities for spiritual growth and discipleship.
  • Continue to create regular and creative outreach events.
  • Continue making communication with staff, youth leadership team, youth and parents a priority.

 

Nurture – Young Adult Christian Community:

  • Help YACC choose leaders from within to be self-lead.
  • Mentor elected leaders.

 

Men’s Ministries:

  • Organize new discipleship groups as a follow-up of the 5:55 Events
  • Develop leaders for men’s groups.
  • Plan and execute contact events.
  • Identify ways for men’s ministry to interface with evangelism teams and the “Becoming a   Contagious Christian” training.
  • Develop a regular schedule of events.

 

Women’s Ministries:

  • Missions identified as a focus.
  • Add a new position of Meal Coordinator to the board in ’06.
  • Understand the Vision & Mission of HPC.
  • Develop ministries for spiritual growth.
  • Plan events with outreach in mind.
  • Continue to build and multiply Bible study groups.

 

Library:

  • Continue buying relevant materials.
  • Continue to catalog, care for and track the use of the materials.
  • Continue to encourage the use of these materials in creative ways.
  • Continue to catalog donations to the library promptly.
  • Increase the awareness and use of the adult Christian materials in the library.

 

Cadets:

  • Continue to find ways to implement local service projects.
  • Train and equip more lay leaders and student leaders.

 

GEMS:

  • Train and equip more lay leaders and student leaders.
  • Schedule 2 to 3 local service projects a year.
  • Always encourage the girls to invite friends to GEMS.

 

Youth Sunday School:

  • Select and implement new Sunday School curriculum.

 

Children in Worship/Bible Time:

  • Implement a new “Children in Worship” program.

 

New Children’s Ministry:

  • Create another summer Bible School event.

 

Nursery:

  • Increase volunteer participation.
  • Offer a secure and safe environment for the children.
  • Work with Small Groups to create an additional nursery time.

 

Park Place:

  • Continue program in place.

 

Fellowship:

  • Conduct each of the following events annually:  Fall Evangelism Kickoff, Progressive Dinner, Road Rally, and Pig Roast.

 

Technology:

  • Continue a commitment to provide up-to-date computer resources for staff.
  • Provide continual improvements for the visual audio, and the lighting needs of worship.
  • Continue to build the Website as an information and outreach tool.

 

Facilities/Property:

  • Review current facility site plan and consider future options.
  • Present a plan to ease visitor navigation within our building (signs, maps etc.).
  • Recruit, equip, and assign responsibilities to additional members of the committee.
