Ministry Blueprint for Hager Park Church
May 2005 – April 2007
Mission – Vision –
Values
Our Mission is
… Reaching
out in Christ – Building life changing relationships
Primary Objectives 1) Teaching values and living them out.
for 5/05 – 4/07 2) Training and equipping.
3) Building relationships.
Our Vision is … We see a community transformed by the presence of Christ.
We see HPC growing in the authenticity and grace of
Jesus, personally impacting the local communities of West Michigan. We see every
follower of Jesus on a journey – listening to listen to God, stretching their
faith, and taking the next step of dependence on God. We see a church on a mission – building
relationships throughout the community, engaging people in conversation about
God, and praying that God will use us to draw them closer in relationship with
Jesus. We see every person growing and
engaged in ministry, using their abilities to love, serve, and encourage others
– creating vitality and joy in Christ that is stimulating to the next
generation. We see intentional
partnerships with other ministries, extending our mission within and beyond the
local community – partnering to develop new churches and ministries that are
multiplying the work of Jesus and connecting with people right where they are.
Our Values …We receive life through commitment to these core values:
Authentic Community
Biblical Authority
Christ-centered living
Dependence on the Holy Spirit
…We give life through commitment to these
ministry values:
Loving unconditionally
Intentionally sharing Christ
Faithfully
serving
Equipping for ministry
Core Values
are unchanging commitments that define who we are and how we approach
ministry.
Authentic Community is our commitment to grow in Christ through
relationships (Acts 2.:42-47).
Biblical Authority is our commitment to live according to God’s truth in
Scripture (2 Tim 3:16-17).
Christ-centered living is our commitment to Jesus being the Lord of life
(John 14:6; Hebrews 12:2).
Dependence on the Holy Spirit is our commitment to daily seeking God’s leading (John
14:26).
Ministry Values are the overflow of our core values – the commitments
that we live out practically.
Loving
unconditionally is our commitment
to loving all people as the image of God (Gen 1:27; Mt 22).
Intentionally
sharing Christ is our commitment
to building relationships with people who do not know Jesus (Mt 28; Col 4).
Faithful
serving is our commitment to
serving others in practical ways (Philippians 2).
Equipping
for ministry is our commitment to
engage all people in gift-based ministry (Eph 4:11-13).
